WATERSTRIKE RETRIEVERS HIP/EYE/HEALTH GUARANTEE

We go to Great lengths to produce healthy, sound puppies. We take immense pride in satisfying new owners with the selection of their new puppy/dog and very much want you to be pleased with your new addition.

If upon reception, you are unhappy with your puppy for any reason, you may ship the dog back the NEXT DAY for a full refund of the “purchase price” of the pup, no questions asked.

You have six (6) days in which to have your veterinarian examine your puppy for any health problems. If there is a problem that cannot be rectified, you may ship the dog to us on the day following the vet exam (must be within 6 days) with a veterinarian statement for a full refund of the “purchase price”.

If, before the age of 26 months, the dog develops:Hip dysphasia, as evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (Waterstrike Retrievers does not recognize Penn-Hip evaluations), or Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and/or Congenital Cataract(s), as certified by ACVO Diplomat Veterinary Ophthalmologist:

It shall be replaced by the breeder with another puppy of equal value and similar quality. At the breeder’s discretion, Half of the purchase price will be refunded in lieu of a replacement puppy, provided that said dog is “spayed/neutered” with written proof from a Veterinarian. Replacement shall be supplied free of all charges except shipping and health certificate. If the value of the replacement puppy is greater than the original purchase price, the buyer will be responsible for paying the difference, before replacement. We do not guarantee the breedability of any pup/dog sold. “Limited Registration” is applied to ALL of our “pet quality” puppies/litters (see enclosed information on “Limited Registration”). The buyer also has the “option”of having the Full Registration “restored”, once this guarantee is met in full, and has attained a AKC/CKC/UKC/NARHRA working/obedience title. This guarantee is non-Transferable to any other persons/ and or animal, other than in the original transaction. We reserve the right to have the animal seen by our Veterinarian. All of our puppies/dogs will be identifiable by (either/or all) DNA profile, Tattoo (inside right groin), or Microchip.

The buyer has several responsibilities for the terms of this guarantee to remain in effect:

1. The breeder must be notified within fifteen (15) days of diagnosis of Hip Dysphasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy or Congenital Cataract.

2. The dog must be euthanized or spayed/neutered before reaching 28 months of age.

3. The dog may NOT have been BRED prior to claim.

4. Our kennel name, ”WATERSTRIKE”, must be used and appear in the dogs AKC registered name. The pup/dog is to be registered with the AKC within 2 months of receiving the puppy papers.

Claim for replacement or refund shall be in writing, and be accompanied by the following:

1. a copy of this guarantee

2. Original AKC Registration Certificate, with ownership signed back to us.

3. Veterinary certification of Hip or Eye defect described above.

4. Veterinary certification of spay/neuter or euthanasia. This claim must be submitted to the breeder with all required documents before the dog reaches 28 months of age. Breeder reserves the right to take possession of the affected live dog in the event the buyer makes a claim for a replacement puppy, BEFORE EUTHANASIA.
